Tournament Prizes

  Open (2000 and Up) :  1st - 30%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10% , 1st Under 2200 - 6%

                 

  Class A (1800-1999) :   1st - 30%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10%

  Class B (1600-1799 :    1st - 30%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10%

  Class C (1400-1599) :  1st - 30%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10%

  Class D (1200-1399) :  1st - 30%, 2nd - 15%, 3rd - 10%

  Under 1200 : 1st - Trophy, 2nd - Trophy , 3rd - Trophy, 1st Under 700 - Trophy

Playing Up

Your current rating must be within 100 points or less to play up into the next section. There is a $5 fee for playing up into the next section.

Reentering the Tournament

A player has the option of reentering the tournament after he/she loses in round 1 or both rounds 1 and 2. This player may wish to reenter the tournament with 1/2 point byes in place of 0 points for rounds 1 and 2. A player may reenter with a 1/2 point bye for $5.00 after losing in round 1 or for $10.00 after losing both rounds 1 and 2. Actually, if a player loses his 2nd round game after reentering with a 1/2 point bye for round 1, then he may reenter a 2nd time with two half point byes for an additional $5.00. Any requests to reenter must be done before the start of round 3.

  

  

More Tournament Info

Format:

   Four Round Swiss , (4SS)

   Time Control : Game in 60 minutes with a

   5 second increment (G/60;+5). Boards and sets

   will be provided.  No clocks will be provided. 

   Please bring your own digital clock.

Playing Up:

 Your current rating must be within 100 points or less of the section 

  that you want to play up into. There is a $5 fee for playing up.

   Check in and registration until 8:45 am.

   Rounds start at:  9:00 am - 11:30 am - 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm

   Time Control : G/60;+5

   Byes : 1/2 point byes are available in all four rounds (max 2).

   Requesting a zero bye late in the tournament is

   considered the same as withdrawing.

   Increment capable digital clocks are preferred.

   For this time control, all the digital clocks should be

   set for 60 minutes with a 5 second increment.

Schedule:

6 Sections:

Open (2000 and Up)  -- minimum rating of 1900 to play up into Open section

Class A (1800-1999)   -- minimum rating of 1700 to play up into Class A section

Class B (1600-1799)   -- minimum rating of 1500 to play up into Class B section

Class C (1400-1599)   -- minimum rating of 1300 to play up into Class C section

Class D (1200-1399)   -- minimum rating of 1100 to play up into Class D section

Under 1200 (100-1199)

 USCF membership is required. New or renewing USCF members are welcome!

 You can renew your USCF membership at the site. Your official June

 rating will be used for the Swiss pairings and the prizes.
